The State Police of Como intensified controls on Lake Como waters to prevent nautical incidents and detect any violations of navigation rules. The attention of the Agents focused on the lake areas in Villa Olmo, Villa Geno, Voltiano temple gardens, Villa D'Este in Cernobbio and the docking area at S. Agostino pier, where there is a high concentration of boats due to the enormous presence of taxi boats. So yesterday afternoon, 4 June, the police fined a boat that, despite a Navigation boat requesting with a siren to clear the route and maneuver area to depart, remained stationary, obstructing its departure. The Internal Waters Section Unit promptly intervened, verified the violation and fined the private boat owner €120. The State Police of Como will continue to monitor Lake Como waters to prevent nautical incidents and ensure the safety of navigators.
