Como Police have intensified waterway controls to prevent nautical incidents and enforce navigation rules. The Internal Waters Section of the Como State Police Headquarters has implemented controls in the first basin of Lake Como, focusing on areas around Villa Olmo, Villa Geno, the Voltiano Temple Gardens, and Villa D'Este in Cernobbio (CO), as well as the S. Agostino dock area, where there is a high concentration of boats. Yesterday afternoon, police officers proceeded to administratively sanction a boat that, despite the audible warnings of a public navigation boat requesting the route and maneuver area to begin its journey, remained stationary, obstructing its departure. The Internal Waters Unit promptly verified the violation and fined the private boat owner 120 euros. The attention of the Como State Police remains constant and high on the waters of Lake Como, where the risk of nautical incidents remains elevated.
